We all want our kids and teens to have a great year--making lots of friends, getting great grades, and generally enjoying life. However, all too often things do not go as planned--relationships or plans falter, motivation or self-esteem decrease, or school turns into a 10-month stress & anxiety-filled nightmare.

While success can never be guaranteed in any aspect of life, the odds of achieving it can be greatly increased by following a few simple secrets known and used by successful people around the world.

What you get ...

Ready, Set ... Succeed! is a course (designed for youth aged 10-18) that not only shares these secrets, but does so in a way that is engaging to youth and is geared to multiple learning styles. Each of the six "Success Modules" comes complete with:

Unlike a traditional classroom or face-to-face course, you can watch the videos over and over, read ahead, and freely chat with your classmates and share ideas and insights during Success Calls, or in the online Success Forum.

Here's a brief overview of what we'll cover:

Module 1: "Knowing What You Want"

  • Defining "success" and starting to define your personal vision, and common barriers that may be limiting you

Module 2: "Goal Setting"

  • Learn why most people who set goals do not achieve them, and how to avoid this trap.

Module 3: "Notice What You Are Getting"

  • We examine your current realities and build self-awareness. This includes doing several assessment activities including developing a personalized learning style profile.

Module 4 & 5: "Be Flexible & Change"

  • Problems WILL occur, but being prepared and learning how to respond is often a key difference between those who suffer and those who surf ahead. In these two modules we examine common barriers to success and strategies to avoid, eliminate, or reduce them from your life.

Module 6: "The Importance of Celebration & Game"

  • In this final module we learn how to recognize, acknowledge, and celebrate successes, and add a sense of "game" to the more mundane or boring (but required) aspects of life.

The course leader for Ready, Set ... Succeed! is Youth Coach Canada's founder, Rob Stringer, a certified professional coach specializing in Youth, and an educator with over 17 years experience working with kids & teens in the classroom.
